Quick Start
Get your team set up in Tracker Boot in just a few steps.
1. Create your first project
A project is the workspace where your team manages Stories, priorities, members, and delivery for a shared area of work. Depending on how your organization works, a project can represent a product, product area, or team.
Inside a project, you’ll find:
- Stories — your backlog and Story workflow
- Analytics — velocity and delivery trends
- Members — the people who have access to the project
2. Add your first Story
Click + New Story to create a Story.
Start with a clear title, then add details such as Acceptance Criteria, labels, estimates, and other relevant context. You can also ask Tobi to help you write or refine the Story.
3. Invite your team
Open the project and go to Project Settings → Members to invite teammates.
Assign the appropriate project role:
- Owner — Full project access, including project settings, members, Stories, and AI-assisted actions.
- Member — Can create and manage Stories and use Tobi to take actions such as refining and splitting Stories.
- Viewer — Read-only access. Viewers can use Tobi for semantic search and analysis—such as finding Stories, exploring Analytics, and checking project trends—but cannot modify Stories or perform actions such as Story splitting.
4. Prepare your Backlog
Add upcoming Stories to the Backlog and order them by priority. Clarify their scope and Acceptance Criteria, and estimate Feature and Design Stories before they are picked up for development.
As your team completes estimated Stories, Tracker Boot learns your team’s Velocity from recent Iterations. This helps project how upcoming work may fall across Iterations and provides visibility into when the current Backlog is likely to be completed.
You’re set. Next, learn how Tobi can help your team work faster.
